So often, religion is abused to promote hatred and discrimination. But a universal law of religions is the principle of treating others as one would wish to be treated.

Earlier this year we started reaching out to leaders and laypersons across the religious spectrum. We’re asking them to tell us in their own words how their faith calls on them to defend LGBTQ people. The Faith is Fairness project is designed to take back the mantle of religion from those who have hijacked it.

Over the next few weeks we will share with you what they had to say.
