Digital Town Hall: Supporting LGBTQ Youth in WV Schools

Fairness West Virginia hosted a digital town hall Thursday evening to discuss ways to better support LGBTQ youth in our schools. About 30 percent of lesbian, gay and bisexual high school students in our state attempted suicide in the last year, according to CDC data. We also know that 70 percent of teachers in West Virginia haven’t received training on how to support LGBTQ students. We must do better.
