Legislative Update: Week 4

Each week, Fairness WV staff gives a live legislative update on our Facebook page. This week, we were joined by several special guests: Del. Sean Hornbuckle, Del. Danielle Walker, and Del. Cody Thompson. These delegates are Democrats on the House Education Committee. Last night, Republicans on that committee rammed through a bill designed to scare teachers out of discussing important issues like racism and sexism. They say this bill is about transparency, but Republicans used a procedural tactic to cut off ANY debate on the bill. Where’s the transparency in that?
